About me
Sebastian "Seabass" Kearney is a PhD Student at the University of Missouri - Columbia. They research how queer persons use performances to process trauma, joy, and pleasure. Additional topics of interest include performances of de/coloniality, improv, and vulnerability & intimacy in performance. They’ve worn a number of hats in the theatre world from being a director, lighting designer, actor, and a solo performance artist. Some of their favorite show credits include Naked Boys Singing!, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Miss Firecracker Contest, and Oddly Puddle is From Inner Space. They’re also a pole dancer and stand-up comic, just for good measure!
