Phyllis Horridge is a second year MFA Musical Theatre candidate at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She holds a Masters in Music from George Mason University and her performance credits include roles at the Rome Festival Opera (The Magic Flute), Washington National Opera (Turandot), Theatre by the Sea (The Drowsy Chaperone), Wilbury Theatre Group (The Threepenny Opera), Reagle Music Theatre (The Music Man), Riverside Center (Brigadoon), and The Summer Lyric (Oliver!). This past summer, she was director of the Alaska Theatre of Youth’s Musical Theatre Conservatory.
A recipient of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Emerging Leaders Award, Phyllis has presented at the Southern Regional and National Conferences and adjudicates for the National Student Auditions. As a SAG-AFTRA member, she was recently featured in a national Popeyes commercial.
Phyllis manages Phyllis & Friends Singing Lessons, a boutique music studio, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in addition she offers private lessons online. Link in profile if you’re interested in signing up!
