Nadine Purvis Schmidt is Professor of Theatre, Producer, and Program Coordinator at Southwest Minnesota State University. Acting credits include The Tempest (Prospero), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Titania), Macbeth (First Witch, Malcolm) and Hamlet (Gertrude), with Bare Bodkins Theatre; Nickel and Dimed (Barbara) with TheatreMidwest; and Superior Donuts (Lady) with TheatreSquared. Region 5 credits include: Gold Medallion (2023), Road Warrior award (2020), Faculty Acting Showcase coordinator 2007-2023 and performer 2006-present, production respondent 2005-present, Irene Ryan preliminary round respondent 2008-2022. Nadine trained at the University of Arkansas (MFA, acting) and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (certificate in Shakespeare performance).
