About me
Jenise Cook is a Kansas City-based movement artist, storyteller, and intimacy director. She holds an MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Missouri -Kansas City Conservatory. Her work spans acting, directing, movement choreography, and intimacy direction with companies such as Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Starlight Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Aurora Theatre, and Cleveland Playhouse. Passionate about new and devised works, Jenise advocates for equitable theater practices, fostering consent-forward, culturally conscious spaces that empower creativity, collaboration, and joy.
