About me
Alivia Holkesvig (BS, BA) is a third-year graduate student in the drama therapy program at Kansas State University. With a unique background in healthcare and theater, she’s found purpose in merging these fields and enacting social, political, and systemic change. Alivia’s recent work has been presented at drama therapy conferences, including “Just Ask,” an ethnodrama detailing one woman’s story of receiving a nonconsensual pelvic exam, and co-research on utilizing consent-based practices with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Alivia is an active member of the North American Drama Therapy Association and recently received the 2024 NADTA Student Service Award.
