About me
Haidee Heaton is a Professor of Theatre at Culver-Stockton College where she serves as Associate Division Chair of Fine, Applied, and Literary Arts and Director of the Honors Scholars Program. Haidee teaches performance, directing, critical theory, and voice. Recent directing credits include XANADU, Elixir of Love, The Blind (KCACTF Region V Festival Invited Production 2021), OR, She Kills Monsters, Murder on the Orient Express, Mamma Mia!, and A Bright Room Called Day. She has been involved in Region V since her undergraduate studies and represented Region V at the KCACTF National Festival as a student director. Most recently, Haidee has worked with KCACTF Region V as the SDC Directing Coordinator and has served as Irene Ryan Coordinator, Invited Scene Showcase assistant, and regional respondent. Haidee has presented at MATC, has been a part of the Leadership Institute at ATHE, works as stage director at Muddy River Opera, and collaborates with Quincy Community Theatre. Haidee holds a BFA from Wichita State University, an MA from Oklahoma State University, and a Ph.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia.
