Directing is...well is difficult to define. There are myriad approaches to the craft, and (hot take) there isn't a "right" way. There is, however, a set of essential tools for all directors, the most important of which are analysis, observation, and communication. In this workshop, participants will spend time discussing theory and preparation for scene work and will practice various tools and techniques on selected scenes under the watchful eye of not only the instructor, but also their peers.
