About me
Jonathan (He/Him) has been designing, consulting, working, and teaching in the theatrical space for over 20 years. His company Munkey Industries LLC is an Iowa based theatrical supply company which sells equipment and supplies as well as service equipment and provide training for the IA, MN, IL, MO, NE, SD Area. Munkey Industries is a dealer for many industry companies including, ETC, Rosco, Lex Power, Froggy’s Fog, Blizzard and more and also stocks, lamps, tape and other common expendables locally in Iowa. Jonathan is a certified EOS trainer and authorized service provider for Electronic Theatre Controls. He is a co-author of the 2nd edition of Stage Management Basics: A Primer for Performing Arts Stage Managers. Jonathan holds an MFA in Lighting Design and Technology from Western Illinois University. Jonathan is very active in the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) holding the position of Commissioner of the Lighting Commission and helping to bring technical theatre educational programming to the conference.
