About me
Chuma is an actor, producer and director. He is ad for FAT HAM by James Ijams (Dezart Performs); directed “ROBBIN, from the HOOD”, by Marlow Wyatt (Road Theatre). Chuma is directing in residency with two plays at the L.A. LGBTQ Center with playwrights Tony Abatemarco (The LOST and FOUND TRILOGY) and Dave Trudell (WHITE/OUT); GEM OF THE OCEAN by August Wilson (UGA); video director/gun choreography for award-winning TWO STOP (EST/LA). He has produced, written and directed for the William Inge Theatre Festival; Director on multi-award winning web-series "In Search of A-P-I-G". Acting awards: Caesar in "Gem of the Ocean" (A Noise Within) Best Production (LA Drama Critics 2019); Outstanding Performance nominations for originating roles in "The Gun Show" by EM Lewis (Moving Arts) "Freedom Summer" by Stephen Sachs (Fountain Theater); "Tree" by Julie Hébert(EST/LA). Chuma was a series regular on the drama GAME OF SILENCE (NBC); recurring guest star on GIRLFRIENDS (Amazon) and DAYS OF OUR LIVES (NBC); recently appeared on THE ROOKIE (ABC)
